Our decorative candles are handmade in France using 100% vegetable wax and natural cotton wicks. To fully enjoy their beauty and fragrance, here are a few simple tips:
🌸 Before turning on
Place the candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface away from drafts.
Avoid placing it directly on varnished or heat-sensitive furniture.
Trim the wick to approximately 5 mm before each use for a stable flame.
🔥 During combustion
Always let the candle burn until the wax melts evenly over the entire surface (this prevents tunneling).
Never leave a candle unattended or near children or animals.
Avoid moving it while it is switched on.
🌿 After use
Extinguish the candle using a snuffer rather than by blowing it out, to avoid wax splashes.
Reposition the wick while the wax is still warm.
Allow it to cool completely before handling it or turning it back on.
🪞 Decorating tip
Calabougies candles are also superb decorative objects even when unlit!
Arrange them on a tray, near a mirror or a vase to create a warm and natural atmosphere.
💡 Bonus tip: if your decorative candle melts unevenly, you can slightly melt the surface in a double boiler or with a hairdryer on low temperature to “fix” it.
Instructions for use – Calabougies scented wax melts
Our scented wax melts are a simple and effective way to diffuse a pleasant fragrance throughout your home. For optimal and safe use, follow these recommendations:
Use with an oil burner: place a scented wax melt in the dish of your oil burner, then light a tea light candle underneath (or use an electric oil burner).
No wick to light: the wax melts don't burn directly. The heat melts the wax and releases the fragrance.
Diffusion time: A wax melt can fragrance your room for several hours. Replace it when it no longer releases any scent.
Easy cleaning: let the wax cool, then remove it from the dish. You can throw it in the trash (never down the sink).
Precautions: always place the incense burner on a stable surface and away from children, animals and flammable objects.
Never leave unattended: always extinguish the tea light candle when you leave the room.
✨ Perfume tip: mix two half-wax melts of different scents to create your own olfactory atmosphere.
